We spent a week at Gas City campground in Medicine Hat, Alberta. We have noticed a big difference (in a negative way) in the attitudes of staff working for city campgrounds as compared to privately owned camp sites. The facilities are aged but there is evidence of improvements being made. The grounds are well maintained however there is overkill on the sprinkler system…beware of getting wet while coming out of the washrooms. We recommend this place if you are passing through.
Homelessness has many faces. Meet our loving little friend. He wandered over to our site and spent several hours with us. Unfortunately we were unable to locate his owner as he had no identification. Hopefully the deputy’s office can find his owner.
We left Alberta and headed East.
These signs were all along the Transcanada highway in Alberta. A little distracting!
There is a joke about Saskatchewan being so flat that you can watch your dog run away for three days…not far from the truth!
That’s salt you are looking at, not snow.
We are in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. We will be here for a few days.
Fun fact: Moose Jaw is home to the legendary Snowbirds.
Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
