Monday night we stayed at a Flying J truck stop. Around 1:00am, I went to the washroom and on my way saw a man bundled in a blanket reading a bible. It was very cold out and quite obvious that his blanket wasn’t doing the trick. Meet Rusty. Rusty is homeless and found shelter in a corner of the truck stop. Tat and I were able to spend some time with him and bless him with another blanket, a backpack and some food.
We headed West. Once again the scenery was just breath taking.
Just like New Mexico, Arizona is full of cattle and pecan farms.
When we crossed into Arizona we stopped in Bowie. Apparently, this small town was mentioned twice in the Rambo movies as being the main character’s home town…and they are very proud of that.
We are in Tombstone, Arizona. Our camp site is over 4500 feet above sea level. There has been a large drop in the temperature combined with high winds. We had some issues with our new tent and have exchanged it for a 6 person instant tent. Hopefully this one will last a while.
Jeremiah 17:5 This is what the Lord says. “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord”
