Miles And Miles Of Texas

We spent 3 days at the Cajun Palms RV Resort in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.  This place has absolutely everything you could want in a resort and more.  Unfortunately, not all amenities are available during the winter months.  The park is very clean and well maintained.  We recommend this campground.

We left Louisiana Monday and headed for Texas.  Our original plan was to spend a week in La Marque.  We spent the night at Ron Hoover Oasis RV Park.  For several reasons we have changed our plans and headed for San Antonio.  If  your rv is not self contained then we do not recommend this campground for you.

Meet Tigger.  He is a veteran and homeless.  We met him in a Walmart parking lot. When we offered him a backpack of stuff and food bag he told us about another homeless guy and was willing to pass on our offering if we only had enough for one. Fortunately for him, we had plenty.  How admirable.

Meet Milton.  He is homeless.  We were able to spend some time with him.  When I took this picture, Milton said “thumbs up for Jesus”

Amen.

Going through Houston was quite an experience.  I’ve never seen so many overlapping bridges and windy roads.

When not driving through the city…the terrain is very dry looking with cactus bushes. On the way to San Antonio we saw tonnes of cattle…field after field.  We also passed a field with lots of white horses on it.  I’m talking more than 50…it was breath taking.

We’ve travelled 810 kms from Louisiana and are now in San Antonio, Texas.  We will be spending a week here.  Finally, some half decent weather.

James 1:6  But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the seas, blown and tossed by the wind.

  1. Hey its your brother Richard here. So proud of the adventure your on and yes glad you weren’t in that storm! You have to do the “river walk” in San Antonio its beautiful. But stay away from the giant Margaritas. Love you both.
