Laundry Day

Yea…that’s right…we were hanging out with Bing Crosby!

We spent the morning packing up…tomorrow we are heading to Zephyrhills, Florida. We have spent the last few days at Hanna Park in Jacksonville.  This campground is in a beautiful setting.  Unfortunately, the bath houses were a disappointment (complete with black mould), no wifi and the store’s prices are high….$8.00 US for 5 pieces of firewood.  For these reasons we would not return to this campground.

Meet Roger.  We met Roger at the laudramat this morning.  Roger is currently homeless and his wife Karen is in hospital.  We were able to bless him with a few items and prayer.  Please keep Roger and Karen  in your prayers.

Today we got an oil change, did our laundry and bought supplies to make up more food bags for the homeless.  We hand a food bag out along with bottles of water with every bag we give out.  Every morning at breakfast we pray that God would present someone to us and that our eyes and hearts would be open.  He has not failed to put someone right in front of us.  It is still early in our journey but we have been changed by this experience already.  We find less enjoyment in the tourist entrapments and more fulfillment in doing work for the Kingdom.

Gelations 2:20  I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.  The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
