This morning we attended a service at the New Friendship Church. They definitely live up to their name. They were extremely friendly and welcoming to us. We thoroughly enjoyed the worship and the message.
Right next door to the church is Pie Heaven…how appropriate.
Meet Cheryl and Gary. They are brother and sister and they are homeless. Cheryl is pregnant and living with COPD. We were able to bless them with a backpack and food and a moment in prayer.
We went to Walmart for some groceries and when we went out to look for our van…we went down the wrong lane in the parking lot. A woman approached us looking for food. Just then this huge rain storm hit and we scattered. When the rain settled we went looking for her. We found her. Her name is Dena, she is in her 60’s and homeless. She couldn’t believe that we would go looking for her when according to her she is use to people acting like she doesn’t exist. She was not comfortable with us taking her picture. We had opportunity to bless her with a backpack and a bag of food.
Meet Treasure…yes that’s her real name. We went to Dunkin Donuts and met her. She lives up to her name. Yes there is no Tim Horton’s here…but Tim Horton’s doesn’t have Treasure.
