We finally got a chance to take our trailer on a test run. We went to the Grand Lake Campground in Minto, Nb. This is a very clean, well maintained facility and the owners were very accomodating.
Although Tat has some camping experience, this was my first time ever camping. We were only able to go for the weekend. We had a beautiful private spot down by the lake. Thank goodness for the privacy because we had no idea what we were doing when we set up the privacy and screen tents. The instructions were not very helpful and we ended up with a few parts who’s purpose we did not know. We were joined by cousin Rosemarie and her boyfriend Don. We learned alot from them and came home with a list of things we need. We are going on a few small trips in preparation for our long journey.
It rained quite a bit of the weekend and we were able to witness a rainbow. On Saturday evening we enjoyed a fantastic lobster supper with Rosemarie, Don and some of his family. After supper Tat and I played music in the entertainment hall of the camp. The crowd seemed to be having a good time…there was even dancing.
All and all it was a good first trip. We got to see what the van looked like loaded with music and camping equipment…we were both trying to invision all the items for the homeless as well. Sleeping in the trailer was extremely comfortable and the galley was easy to work out of. We also had many opportunities to share the gospel.
