Spring is finally upon us. Pretty soon we will be able to test run our trailer. We have some smaller trips planned before we head out on our adventure in the fall.
We were able to save enough money to purchase a van. Now, we are saving for the trip.
My Parkinson’s seems to have progressed past the medication dose that I was on. I am in the process of increasing the dose. There have been times that I feel so lousy that one has to wonder if the medication actually helps. I have had confirmation that yes indeed it does. I have also discovered that tremors in my hands during exercise can be slowed down by holding one pound weights during the exercise. We have also heard evidence that bicycle riding is suppose to help with tremors. It’s a slow process but I’m incorporating that into my schedule.
There has been a lot of interest in our homeless project. As a result we will have most of the items on our list for the backpacks. We are putting together 5 children’s packs. Below is a list of items needed for these bags. If you are interested in participating, please contact us with what you would like to commit to purchasing. Once we have a commitment, we will write the word done beside the item. Items must be in our possession by October 1st, 2016. The target age is under 10 years old and all items must be new and gender neutral. Thank you for your interest.

Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.— Psalm 127:3-5
*Following when this was originally posted, the number of children’s packs has been increased to 10. Also, the hats, scarves and gloves are now going in a separate bag. Some of these bags will be including socks and some toiletries. Praise God for the love of his children.
